An evening with Aubrey Henderson is not to be missed. She may be one of the hardest working DJs coming out of the LA area, as she seamlessly holds residencies at some of the prime music venues in town while also touring the globe curating sounds for private events through Haute Mobile Disco, the company she co-founded in 2014. Aubrey brings more than just good music; she has a flawless taste in soul, rock, indie, mixed with a slight tinge of disco and Hip Hop along with an array of dance that has the ability to accommodate any event. She often looks like she is having more fun than anyone else in the room and it is this kind of energy that makes her more than just another LA DJ. There is a skill in reading the crowd and picking that nostalgic song that forces people to sing in public or knowing how to work them into a dance frenzy. Aubrey is absolutely the reason why you wake up the next morning with songs in your head that you wished you Shizamed. If the idea of having more fun than you had in 1992 when Dre dropped his first solo album doesn’t entice you, perhaps dropping names like touring with Mickey Avalon and Ke$ha reinforces Aubrey’s abilities. She has also worked as a producer and sound engineer at Moheak Radio for Keith Morris, Ryan Adams and Kevin Bronson. No words could prepare you for what’s in store when this LA native stands behind two turntables and a mixer. You’ll just have to check her out for yourself, just make sure you wear comfortable shoes.
