Ian describes himself as “...a Curator of dance grooves, memories and feeling good”. Brought up on his Mother’s love for Jazz (Miles Davis, John Coltrane), Divas and Crooners (Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Madonna) all which mixed with his own love for both 70s Funk (Rick James, KC and the Sunshine Band, James Brown) and his modern Pop influences (Maroon 5, Beyonce, John Legend).
Ian Sloane started his collaboration with HMD through sessions in his studio which resulted in making some pretty epic remixes and re-edits including a cover of Paul Simon's Call Me Al. These sessions resulted in building some amazing DJ sets that helped HMD's live performance element to grow.
As a DJ, a multi-instrumentalist and co-owner of HMD, his musical sensibilities honor the richness of live instrumentation while also staying in tune with the crowd. Whether he is taking the lead as a DJ, as a supporting musician or simply as an event manager, Ian feels right at home. Versatile and innovative, Ian brings to every project what the clients he works with want and need.
